Keys collection !

Finally !! After the long wait... The keys to our new home ! We collected on the 4th Jan 2010 with excitement !

Mil got a monk to bless the unit before the start of renovation which is still some time away ad we have yet to decide which ID to take.

We were quite pleased with the design of the door grill and the door by HDB. Hence, this part no changes will be made.

This is the living room's window. Judging from the windows, you can roughly estimated how small the living room is going to be. Anyway, small is good as I always like things to be simple and I don't need to clean up too big a place.

Less than a 5 mins walk to the LRT station is what we like for the convenience.

After meeting up with a total of 6 IDs, we have shortlisted and left with two for our consideration. Mainly, Uberdesign or Dot3.

Most likely I guess, renovation will only start in march, after CNY. Nevertheless, I am eagerly looking forward to shift into the new place of our own.

Chicken fillet sandwich

Bought this pack of meat marinade from Cold Storage



To marinade the chix thighs and it tastes really nice !

Just need to marinade the meat for 3 hours.



For me, I pan fried the meat to make into chicken fillet sandwich for the zoo outing.

Just add in lettuce, tomato and honey mustard sauce and it makes a fulfilling meal with wholemeal bread.

I stir fried with vegetables as a dish for Xav to go with his porridge.

Completed his meal with two nice sweet strawberries.

Kitchen play set

Here's Xavier latest playset ! Looks a bit girlish due to the pinkish colour. But anyway, who says boys can't use pink !


Grabbed it from Taka fair on the last day of the event, on top of $29.90, we got a further 20% and an additional member's discount.

Then again, I feel that this set is not as fun as those which has sound when u turn the knobs. This one only have sound on the stove. But dear dear was saying, it's supposed to be or imagine play. So doesn't really matter if there are sound or not.

I fixed up the kitchen when Xav was sleeping, so that he will have a surprise the next day!



Here's Xavier's Kitchen !!


I bought some play dough from Daiso and cut them up into bits and Xav imagined that the green bits are vege


and started to place them into the pots and starts to make sound as he "cooked" !!


Coupled with the kitchen set Jo got from him, there's more variety to play around with !

Shall open up the play dough for other colours gradually to make into something else for him.

One thing I like about the play dough from daiso, it's not oily at all and at only $2 for a tub of 4-5 colours!

Singapore Zoological Gardens

We are going to the zoo, zoo, zoo, how about you, you, you ... You can come too, too, too ... we are going to the zoo, zoo, zoo ... ...

Yes !! This time round is to the Zoo ! Was thinking Xav had seen some animals in the YBCR videos, time to bring him to see the real ones !

I made his breakfast with the newly bought Panda picks !! Got them @ a BP and finally I get to use it. Made bread with cheese and strawberries for him.

and packed some using the animal cutters for his tea break. Just nice to fit the theme of outing !

We went to watch the sea lion presentation first but Xav did not enjoyed it as much as the elephants' presentation.

He sat through out the Elephants' presentation !

Though he was a bit hungry and tired by then as it was near lunch time.

After the show, we fed him lunch and proceed along to see other animals.

Australia Outback was one of the area which I think the zoo does not have when I last visited which was more than 10 years ago !

We saw this very enormous bird as well.. Forgot it's name though...

Then, we came to the White Tiger !

Xav was playing around the buttons to hear how the tiger sounds !

Highlight of the outing was to get Xavier to feed the giraffe ! The moment he saw the giraffes, he went "Raff ... Raff !!"

And Xav was so excited to feed the giraffe ! Not even the slightest bit of fear in him !

And when Xav spotted the Zebras, he went "zee zee" !

Followed by a boat ride afterwhich, enjoyed the green scenary around Seletar Reservoir vicinity.

When he napped, we went to take the tram ride and went touring around the whole Zoo. Made our alighting point near to the Rainforest Kids' World as we intend to bring Xavier there after he wakes.

Before that, we made our way to visit the rest of the enclosures when Xav was taking his nap.

Xav only took a short power nap of 30 mins. Thereafter, was waken up by the sound of the insects !

We fed him his teabreak and proceeded to the Rainforest Kids world, where all the little ponies, goats were located at.

and whenhe spotted the water park, he straight away pulled my hand to go together with him for fun !

Here's the impatient Xavier ... hahaha.. I have to keep reminding him that we have to wait for daddy.

And there he started his fun !




He had much fun and we were glad that he was quite cooperative when we needed to get him to wash up and leave the place.

We had a tired but enjoyable day out !

The Singapore Flyer

Been busy for the start of 2010 !!! With lots of activities lined up ! Singapore Flyers is the first places of interest which we brought Xav to.

Not sure if it was a curse, everytime we planned to go there, either one of us would fall sick.

So this time round is a hush hush issue.. We did not mention anything about going till the very last minute !

We are going to take flight !
