[Review] Cake Delivery Singapore

 Cake is one of my weaknesses, it is hard to resist these treats when I need one to perk me up or just relax and enjoy it with a cup of nice tea. 

These assorted treats are from Cake Delivery Singapore. I ordered the following flavours: Ondeh Ondeh, Chocolate Rainbow, Dark Chocolate Ganache, Pistachio Rose and Mao Shan Wang Chocolate cake.  Choose either a whole cake of a single flavour or go for 8" Build Your Own Cake , 10 assorted flavours if you would like to cater to the different liking of everyone. I chose the latter. 

It would be much better if the slices were wrapped with a cake wrapper individually that the cream of the different flavours would not be in contact with each other, I am quite particular with it. The presentation would look better if the slices were cut with a clean knife each time and of a constant regular size. 

Among all, I liked Chocolate Rainbow the best. The cake was fluffy yet not crumbly. The luxurious chocolate cream that was coated on top, gave a slightly bitter-sweet taste which I loved that it is not too sweet to savour. These vivid rainbow layers were made of natural and preservative-free colourings. This is perfect to pair with a cup of tea and am sure all kids and even adults, will love this! 

Chocolate Rainbow Cake 

Next favourite was Ondeh Ondeh Cake inspired by our local traditional kuehs! I do have a sweet-tooth in me but I only accept a certain type of sweetness. I love Ondeh Ondeh in any form! The pandan flavoured sponge slices were soft, gula melaka cream sandwiched between the layers and dusted with shredded coconut which gave some textured in the overall bite. It will be perfect if the buttercream is slightly less sweet.

Pistachio Rose is a new flavour in Cake Delivery Sg's menu. The first bite into the slice, the taste of the buttercream was detected to have an infusion of rose, the fragrance was pleasant! However, I find it a little sweet. 

I least expected the Dark Chocolate Ganache and Mao Shan Wang Chocolate Cake to be sweeter than the rest, it was a tad too sweet for my liking.
