CulinaryOn opened it's first studio in Moscow in 2012 and received the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence in the category of Master-Classes and seminars in 2015.
Now it opened up it's second studio, the largest cooking studio in Asia - CulinaryOn Singapore is here in Singapore, right in the heart of the bustling Central Business District! But who knows, amongst one of the buildings, houses the existence of this spacious 7000 sq ft studio, which can be divided into 4 event areas, a conference room, a bar and each area comes with its own cooking area ! Come, take your culinary journey to a new height or begin your culinary journey with an unforgettable experience!
This stylish and beautiful area definitely took my breath away. It looks like a dream kitchen everyone wishes to have!
The very stylish work space we spent at for the evening. |
At each time, it can accommodate up to 200 guests! Culinaryon edutainment format is best defined as "The Disneyland of cooking schools". We totally rocked the studio with our laughter and cheers that evening!

CulinaryOn have a range of wine to cater to wine lovers and they bottled their own wine as well. Do check out with the staff if you are there.
The cosy bar counter welcomes the guests for a chill out anytime before the session starts. Oh well, I wish I could drink but I could only drink juices.=p
Too cute to resist, we have to take a picture with these giant wooden props !
Us and the giant spatulas ! |
Our dishes for the evening with Chef Daniel.
Working in groups of 5, our group was a mixture of ladies who hardly cook, never cook before or like myself who just cook for the family but not yet to the level of a professional chef.
I learnt tips on how to cut fruits not that I do not know how but you'll be surprised that there are other easier and more creative ways and I cut it in a different way now!
We were going to cook Tagliatelle with Porchini (white mushroom) from SCRTACH !! How exciting as I had always wanted to learn and watch how it was being done.
In the midst of preparing the dough, we had a fun and mini challenge on who can pinch up the egg yolks ! This is one way which you can tell if the egg is fresh. If the egg is fresh, you should be able to pinch the yolk without breaking it. You can also try it at home, before you start and make sure your hand is very dry before attempting to pinch.
I was really trying very hard ! |
And yes ! I got it ! The success of pinching the yolk got us all excited to the max !
I DID IT !! THE YOLK ! |
We were also taught on how to test if the dough is ready and the next challenge for the teams was, which team can form the longest dough? We were looking at each other when we were told to create the longest pasta. The process was great as we got a chance to use this awesome Kenwood Chef Sense Kitchen Machine, I was unsure of the model though. But I was definitely blown away by it!
Each and every single one of us had the opportunity to try cutting the dough into Tagliatelle (long, flat ribbons)
Here's what we had produced from that ball of dough ! Having loads of fun trying to form the longest pasta.
Here's my turn to make it into Tagliatelle !
Chefs at work and those huge flames ! |
Got to witness some science experiment as well! What a blast ! I assured you no loud blast but a room full of WOW !
This awesome kitchen tool can instantly make ice-cream too with the added liquid nitrogen!
Laughter was heard throughout the session as we were involved in mini challenges which made the whole process really enjoyable ! You could see the state of the egg white after being whisked manually by hand, arm muscle training moment in exchange for that few minutes of excitement and fun, WORTH IT !
Look ! Nothing fell out ! We made it ! |
Here's our culinary creation for that evening. The texture of the tagliatelle was really just nice for my liking. It's slightly springy and simply delish !
Tagliatelle with Porchini |
I hardly eat ice cream when am out but you got to really try this recipe ! It's soft, creamy yet not too sweet ! It went really well with the fruit salad. I really would not mind a second serving but it was gone too fast!

"Graduated" =) |
On the same month, we received an invitation to Jorel's 8th Birthday Bash.
Super love the classy table set up ! |
This time, the kids get to have their share of fun but without the parents ! Hence, we got to relax one corner for about 2 hours, chilled and catch up with the other moms while the kids get to get their hands "dirty" with the flour and eggs and hours of fun !
This was the spread of finger food served for the guests while waiting for the little ones.
I loved this pastry wrapped with sausage, it was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
Light and refreshing Japanese Soba |
A Zootopia themed party for Jorel !

Tidbits corner |
Once a while, parents would allowed to be into the kitchen area and take some pictures, otherwise we would be waiting in the other studio or we could watch them from outside through the glass door.
The only place I believed, Xav and the children could throw a handful of flour at the mums without getting scolded yet could hear how the mummies screamed and ran away!

The kids got to make ice cream as well and all of them were busy soaking their heads into the dry vapour.

This was my second time attending an event at this place, and was my first business event here (the other event was a charity show). Everything at venues in houston was perfect, the drinks and food was amazing. Even the coffee was wonderful.
