Zhenjie Yu Sheng (The Best in Chinatown)

The power of Facebook at times allow me to see where nice food can be found when anyone of my friends posted. During this festive season, of course a simple picture of the stall that sells this Yu Sheng coupled with a caption saying that it's the best Yu Sheng you can find in Chinatown.

After I saw the picture, I was talking to another friend and she told me her mum always buy from this famous stall !

The very evening, I made my way with dear and the kids to pack this home of course ! If you are a Yu Sheng Lover like me. You should try this. So far, apart from the Teochew Style Yu Sheng from Chin Lee Restaurant, this is the second one which made me craved for more ~ Zhenjie Yu Sheng

The Yu Sheng has got jellyfish in it. Not all stalls served this with Jellyfish I guess ? Correct me if am wrong. Overall, what made this stall stood out from the ones I have tried before. The sauce plays an important part to determine if the Yu Sheng will turn out nice. It's not overly sweet which don't make you feel irk after eating much. I love the deep fried flour crisps, it's thickness is just nice for the extra crunch  ! The radish and carrot are finely shredded as well !

A fast introduction to what's in Yu Sheng and their meaning.
- Carrot (红萝卜) is used as the first character 鸿 also sound like the Chinese character for red.Carrots are added to symbolize blessings of good luck, 鸿运当头 ( Hong Yun Dang Tou) meaning “Good luck is approaching”.
